The first Shot Edit copy.png

I started by drawing, etching, then 2D animation, then preproduction in films. Then my own films. AI got me into

previz — I can control the creation of an image more effectively and faster with pictures and words. Film production got me into team coordination, leadership and more moral values than I would have expected.

Life itself got me into systems thinking, through every economic crisis I watched countries endure. The Spanish taught me to be driven as a core skill — no matter what, no matter when. The French taught me restraint and that true courage

is silent. From Peru I got resourcefulness and Taichi — twenty years now.

From my father I got the secrets of the golden section, film grammar, Stanislavski, all my consoles and my first lens. From my mother and sister I got love — tons of it. My mother also gave me analytical thought and my need for justice and truth.
My wife made me thrilled about life — to have expectancy that joy lies ahead. Then she confirmed it by giving me two sons. My kids gave me a stake in the future, a window to my own biases, and the force to go through a wall — for them.
