Q&A
The Intersection of Human Craft and AI Pre-visualization
Technology is shifting the boundaries of production, but true artistic intent cannot be automated. My methodology is built on the belief that AI is a powerful catalyst, but human authorship must remain at the core of the work. From the first pencil sketch to the final sound mix in DaVinci Resolve, my process ensures that every deliverable is a deliberate, copyrightable piece of art. Whether you are commissioning high-end pre-visualization or looking for a director to helm your next campaign, the following FAQ explains how my workflow protects your project and guarantees your ownership.
Frequently Asked Questions: Methodology & Copyright
Does this methodology allow anyone to generate and own AI content?
No. The methodology detailed on this site is my proprietary professional workflow, not a public tool or a DIY guide. The legal ownership of the final assets stems directly from my documented, human creative contributions—such as hand-drawn sketches, depth maps, and heavy curation—combined with my professional transfer of rights to you upon final payment.
Can you legally claim and transfer copyright for AI-assisted images?
Yes. Both the US Copyright Office and French/EU law require meaningful human authorship for copyright protection; pure AI output cannot be copyrighted. My process is engineered to meet these legal standards. Because every project is anchored by my original hand-drawn sketches and guided by a signed Artistic Intent Statement, the human expression remains perceptible and protectable. When you hire me, you receive full, transferable copyright with no licensing headaches.
Does this ownership structure apply to AI-assisted video pre-visualization?
Absolutely. The process for video builds directly on the image methodology. Videos are anchored by hand-drawn storyboards and strictly controlled using IN and OUT frames, spatiotemporal prompts, and heavy post-production (editing, colour grading, and sound design in DaVinci Resolve). This human orchestration secures the copyright for audiovisual work just as it does for print, allowing for a clean transfer of 4K UHD video and sound assets to the client.
Is AI video actually accepted by luxury brands and high-end agencies?
The luxury market is rightfully protective of its brand identity, authenticity, and "craft." While prestige brands rarely release fully AI-generated final campaigns, AI-assisted pre-visualization is rapidly becoming an essential behind-the-scenes tool for top European agencies and global houses. My methodology offers the speed and iteration of AI without the "AI look," providing a risk-free, fully owned environment to test ambitious concepts before committing to a traditional, high-stakes shoot.
Do you strictly do pre-visualization, or do you also direct?
While my background is rooted in storyboarding and pre-visualization, the evolution of these tools has naturally expanded my role. I actively direct my own digitally filmed projects, working my way to an hybrid cinema. One which does not replace the actor but enhance him/her/them. Actually I also work in what I call "inclusive prompting", which is a system to include all technitians from the first prompt to the last day on the real set.
I leave the door entirely open to clients who wish to commission me for full directorial work alongside pre-visualization.
